We Install Every Kind of Heat
Furnaces
Gas, LP, and electric forced-air. The most common choice, and a good one for a lot of homes.
Heat pumps
Efficient electric systems that heat and cool, with cold-climate models that hold up in Minnesota. Our team holds DOE-recognized heat pump installation training.
Boilers
Hot water and in-floor radiant systems. A genuine specialty of ours, not something we avoid.
Ductless Mini-Splits
heat and cool without ductwork, ideal for additions and homes with no ducts.
Dual-fuel setups
A heat pump paired with a furnace, for efficiency most of the year and backup on the coldest days.
Which System Is Right for Your Home?
There's no single best heating system, and it depends on a handful of factors:
- Do you have ductwork? No ducts naturally point toward a boiler, radiant, or ductless; existing ducts open up furnaces and central heat pumps.
- What fuel is available? Natural gas, LP, electric, or moving off oil all change the math.
- New build or existing home? New construction lets us design the ideal system in from the start; an existing home works within what's there.
- What matters most to you? Lowest upfront cost, lowest operating cost, efficiency, or a system that also cools?
We really enjoy helping you strategize the best setup for your home and space. Brian's approach is to lay out the options and tell you what he'd do if it were his house. Then it's your call.
Installing a New Heating System, Done Right
Whatever system you choose, the fundamentals of a good install are the same:
- Load calculation and design. We size the system to your home's actual heating load. Right-sizing is the biggest factor in how well any heating system performs.
- System selection. We match you to the right equipment and fuel type for your home and your goals.
- Professional installation. Licensed setup with ductwork or line sets, gas and electrical, and venting.
- Testing and commissioning. We verify the system is running safely and efficiently, and confirm it's heating the way it should before we leave.
(Replacing an existing heating system that's aging or failing? Head to the furnace replacement, heat pump replacement, or boiler page for your system, where we cover the swap and the repair-vs-replace decision.)
How We Work
- We install every heating system, so our recommendation isn't limited to what we're comfortable with; rather, it's what's right for your home.
- We service any system regardless of who installed it. The one exception is oil-burner systems, we don't service those, but we do replace them, converting older oil setups to efficient LP or natural gas.
- Family-owned. Brian and his sons do the work. The people who install your system are the people you call back.
- Licensed, bonded, and insured - plus financing available. Ask about current offers and financing.
