Having issues with your hot water heater?
Any of these symptoms means something is likely wrong with your hot water heater.
Hot Water Heater Repair Services Offered
From thermocouple replacements on gas units to heating element swaps on electric tanks, we carry the inventory in our vans needed to get your hot water flowing once again.
Gas Hot Water Heater Repair
If you are having issues with your gas water heater, we can help fix many types of issues. In our experience, the #1 reason gas water heaters fail is due to thermocouple and pilot light issues. But it could also be issues with your gas control valve or burner assembly. We recommend having us take a look, and we can diagnose the issue.
Electric Hot Water Heater Repair
Issues with electric hot water heaters usually stem from heating element issues. For example, if you have some hot water but it runs out fast, the lower element is usually burnt out. If you have NO hot water, it’s usually the upper. There can also be other issues related to thermostats and wiring. Give us a call to take a look!
Tankless Hot Water Heater Repair
Most tankless hot water heaters are fairly new, so they have fewer issues in general. But that being said, we do see calcium build-up and sensor issues from time to time, especially due to how hard the water is in Minnesota. Reach out to us if you think you are having issues with your tankless hot water heater.
Installing Gas, Electric & Tankless Hot Water
Our techs install every type of hot water heater, including gas, electric, and tankless models. We can help you swap out your existing model with a comparable model or suggest an upgrade that will serve your family.
- Traditional water heaters with tanks - Generally available in 40, 50, and 80-gallon capacities. These are the most common choices for families looking for a reliable, cost-effective replacement.
- Tankless - Ideal for families who constantly run out of hot water. These units heat water as it flows, which means endless hot water!
- Heat pump water heaters - These are considered very energy efficient. They are designed to pull heat from the surrounding air to warm your water
Our guys are very careful when installing new systems in your home. We follow code-compliant procedures and ensure proper sizing of the unit to your home.
Repair vs. Replacement of Water Heaters
Homeowners must always decide whether they want to repair or replace their existing hot water heater. We use a general rule of thumb, listed below.
You should REPLACE if the following are true.
- If your tank is over 10 years old (the internal glass lining is likely brittle or cracked)
- If a repair costs more than 50% of a new unit
- If water is pooling at the bank of the tank (meaning the tank has failed and it cannot be repaired)
